Proper Rest
I suggest that we always go to sleep on an empty stomach. The body uses the time that we sleep to perform routine maintenance. Our liver must process countless amounts of dead cells and hormones that are constantly being replaced. (The liver must also deal with all the chemicals that we breath in, absorb through our skin, and consume daily.) If we eat before bed, the liver must process the food that we have just eaten and maintenance functions must wait. This may mean longer sleep time is required to feel well rested.
